1. “ Jack and the Beanstalk” Tan Tock Seng Pri. 2 Faith

2. Once upon a time, there was a boy called Jack. He lived with his mother.

3. They were very poor. All they had was a cow.

4. One morning, Jack went to the market to sell the cow. On the way, a man gave Jack some magic beans for the cow.

5. Jack took the beans and went home. When Jack’s mother saw the beans, she was so angry that she threw them out the window.

6. The next morning, Jack looked out the window and saw a giant beanstalk. He went outside and started to climb the beanstalk.

7. He climbed up to the sky through the clouds. Jack saw a beautiful castle and went inside.

8. Jack heard a voice. “Fee Fi Fo Fum!” Jack ran into a cupboard.

9. A giant came into the room and approached the hen and the golden harp.

10. “ Lay!” said the giant. The hen laid a golden egg. “ Sing!” said the giant. The harp began to sing until the giant fell asleep.

11. Jack jumped out of the cupboard and took the hen and the harp. Suddenly, the harp sang, “Help!”

12. The giant woke up and shouted, “Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum!” Jack climbed down the beanstalk and the giant came after him.

13. Jack shouted, “Help!” His mother came and chopped down the beanstalk with an axe.

14. The giant fell and crashed to the ground. Jack and his mother lived happily ever after.
