Weekly market view
Markets showed splendid performance last week as positive momentum
was seen from the first day and the bull rally extended to surpass the
record highs and set a new benchmark. The rally was supported by good
earnings by companies, FII buying, Hopes of reforms from Union Budget
and also ECB stimulus of bond buying on global front. Nifty future may now
face crucial resistance level of 9000 near to the upper band of channel
pattern on daily charts. While, profit booking may find immediate support
near 8700 and closing below it will further drag it lower. Key events to be
focused in the coming week which may affect volatility are FOMC meet on
Thursday and Jan F&O series Expiry.
