  1. Thank you Hello everyone, first of all, I would like to thank Zsuzsa and JVS for giving me the opportunity to be here today. JVS and the CWC course helped me a lot to succeed in my job search; and the least I can make is to come here and share my experience with you guys.

  8. Arrival => For those who don’t know me: My name is Adrian, I am Brazilian and I arrived in Canada on November 2008. The reason I came to Canada is that when I visited the country about 10 years ago I fell in love with the cosmopolitan aspect of Toronto and I felt that it would be a perfect place for me live, build my family and develop my career. Goals => Move from Banking to Consulting Prior coming to Canada, I had worked for a Brazilian bank (in Brazil and in Japan) for over 6 years. However, as I was starting a new life, I also started to think about engaging in a new career. For long I wanted to try a career in consulting, so I felt that since I already had left my job, now it was the time for me to make this shift. Concerns => not get/take long to get desirable job Recession (hiring freeze/increasing competition) Lack of Canadian experience (culturally/professionally) No connections!
