Robotics
1. Robotics.
Robotics is the branch of technology
that deals with the
design, construction, operation, struc
tural disposition, manufacture and
application of robots and computer
systems for their control, sensory
feedback, and information processing
.These technologies deal with
automated machines that can take
the place of humans, in hazardous or
manufacturing processes, or simply
just resemble humans.
2. Etimology.
The word robotics was from the
word robot which was introduced
to the public by Czech writer Karel
Capek in his play R.U.R. (Rossum´s
Universal Robots),which premiered
in 1921. The word robot comes
from the Slavic word robota,which
used ti refer forced labor.
3. Comoponents.
The components of a robot are:
-Power source.
-Actuation.
-Electric Motors.
-Linear actuations.
-Series elastic actuators.
-Air muscules.
-Muscle Wire.
-Piezo Motors.
4. Artificial inteligence.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines and the
branch of computer science that aims to create it. AI textbooks
define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents"
where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its
environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of
success. John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1956, defines it
as the science and engineering of making intelligent machines."
5. Problems.
The general problem of simulating (or creating)
intelligence has been broken down into a
number of specific sub-problems. These consist
of particular traits or capabilities that researchers
would like an intelligent system to display. The
traits described below have received the most
attention.
6. Philosophy.
• Artificial intelligence, by claiming to be able to
recreate the capabilities of the human mind, is
both a challenge and an inspiration for
philosophy. Are there limits to how intelligent
machines can be? Is there an essential
difference between human intelligence and
artificial intelligence? Can a machine have a
mind and consciousness? A few of the most
influential answers to these questions are
given below.
