THE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF DESIGN
The School of Design is a multidisciplinary venture aspiring to promote courses from different avenues of design.
The School is a Self Financing Institution of the University of Mysore.
Applications are invited for admission to the following courses for the academic year 2012-2013
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE (B.Arch)
Eligibility : 12th standard/PUC with Mathematics &English / Diploma in Architecture / Diploma in Civil
with Min.50% Aggregate for General Merit and 45% for Reservation category
Diploma in Interior Design (completed at USD only) Min. 50% Aggregate.
Mode of Admission : Aptitude Test (NATA: MIN MARKS: 80/200) [1]

Criteria for selection : (i) -Marks of Mathematics & English only is considered of 12th or Equivalent
-Overall aggregate for Diploma in Architecture / Civil
-60 % aggregate in both the following subjects: Architectural Design &
Building Construction and Materials (I-IV semester) for Diploma in Interior Design
(completed at USD only)
(ii) NATA Score
Course Duration : 10 Semesters i.e. 5years.

Total Intake : 60
DIPLOMA IN INTERIOR DESIGN (Dip.I.D.)
Eligibility : 10th standard, Min. Aggregate 50%
Mode of Admission : Personal Interview at the School
Course Duration : 4 Semesters i.e. 2years.
Semester Fees : Refer prospectus
Total Intake : 20
MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE-URBAN DESIGN (M.ARCH)
Eligibility : B.Arch / B.Plan, Min. Aggregate 50%
Mode of Admission : Personal Interview at the School
Course Duration : 4 Semesters i.e. 2 years.
Semester Fees : Refer prospectus
Total Intake : 20

Reservation of all categories for all the courses will be applicable as per rules of Government of India.

Weightage for preparing Merit List ( i ) 50%, ( ii ) 50%

Documents: Attested copies of the following depending on the course being applied for:
• 10th standard marks card.
• 12th standard marks card.
• Diploma – Marks cards of all semesters and diploma certificate.
• NATA score card.
• B.Arch./ B. Plan – Marks cards of all semesters and degree certificate.
• Reservation documents. (if any).
The Prospectus and the application form are available at the office on payment of Rs 600/- in cash or DD drawn in favour of
“The University School of Design” payable at “Mysore”. Outstation candidates may include Rs 75/- for postal charges.
NOTE: Number for the application form will be given by the office only after the receipt of payment Rs 600/-
