2. ASSURE Unit Plan - Day 3
• The third day of my Unit Plan will begin with
a review on what we had learned from the
previous days.
• Students will be randomly called on to
answer questions I ask out loud.
3. To add to the lesson I will have a gavel
and whatever student is handed it, will be
the one to answer said question.
4. Bill of Rights
• We will begin into the next part of the
Constitution which are the 27 amendments.
• We will start with the first 10, which are what
make up the Bill of Rights.
• Students will learn why they are called the
Bill of Rights and why they are separated.
5. Students will need to use their study guide
from before to look at and follow along with
the amendments as I go over them.
6. Students will be
required to
complete this
worksheet next
during class
time.
7. • While I grade their worksheets, students will be
instructed to get on the computers and go to this
website
http://www.scholastic.com/browse/collection.jsp
?id=391 to play and explore quietly while other
students finish up.
• If any worksheets have mistakes, students will
have the chance to fix them.
• After everyone has the chance to explore the
website, I will give them their next assignment.
8. • Students will draw a picture of how they think
life was before these important documents were
established and then how life was/is after they
were established.
• On the back of their pictures they will need to
write a short description of what their pictures
are.
• They will be hung up around the room
afterwards.
9. Students will be
assigned this
worksheet to take
home for
homework and it
will be due the
next day.
