 No PHDs in Art History needed – enthusiasm is helpful
 Faculty graciously welcomes volunteers into the classroom,
Jennifer Hefner is huge supporter of this program

 Very rewarding volunteer experience – you will learn as well as the
children
 No wrong answer approach, all children should be encouraged to
voice their ideas

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 Grade Coordinator
• Schedule sessions with teacher and parent volunteers
• Assign an artist to a parent (depending on # of volunteers in a class
you can do more than 1 session)
• Email artist bio, art project info and talking points to volunteers
TRAINING
 Lead by Diane Greenwald
 Slated for February 9:30 – 11:30 am (make up sessions available)
 Robyn Lane insists that the training be mandatory to ensure quality

sessions in the classroom
