2. Have we reached the target
audience?
The target audience was chosen to be 12-40 women
because of several reasons ; the film will contain mild
expletives, sexists remarks and some scene’s that a
younger audience may find distressing. This means
that a younger audience may not be appropriate.
The title sequence itself features none of this as these
scene’s appear later in the film but we were to produce
the whole film we would include these in the
appropriate places.
3. What did we include to reach
the target audience?
We used several codes and conventions of that target
audience to achieve the target audience. We found that the
target audience of women would enjoy to relate to the lead
character.
To try to achieve this we made the title sequence centre
around Louise, the lead. We included many close up shots
in production to try to achieve a tight connection with the
audience.
We wanted to make a connection between audience and
film by adding stereotypes such as Women being organized
and Women being green fingered as she waters the orchid.
4. Good Audience feedback
A person said that they liked “the costume”. This shows that the
costume was appropriate for the title sequence appealing to the
audience which it was supposed to be attracted to.
Several feedback forms quoted that they loved how “the narrative
suits the audience”. This shows how we have carefully thought out
what how this would work in production.
The Bollywood style soundtrack went down very well with many
people commending it.
We had other feedback saying about how they loved the narrative.
3 feedback forms said they loved the “camera angles”.
5. Bad audience feedback
Many people disliked the bus scene’s at the start, so
we decided t remove it from the title sequence.
The yellow colour of the font was not taken well, so we
changed it to a more golden colour.
A few feedback forms said that they didn’t like the ways
some of the shots appeared to be slightly out of focus,
so we reshot it and removed the blur.
6. Improvements
Overall we re-shot many parts of the title sequence so
that it fit with the response of feedback forms and
general feedback we have had from fellow students
and teachers.
We edited the sequence so it looked more professional,
this included removing the bus scene’s as they did not
fit our title sequence.
