2. Magna Carta is Signed (1215)
The Magna Carta was
signed by King John in
1215 by force limiting his
power.

3. Henry VIII creates the Anglican church
1534
Henry crated the church to
divorce his wife because the
pope would not allow him
one.

4. Elizabeth takes the crown 1558
Elizabeth only took crown
after her half sister was
accused of crimes and then
thrown in jail where Mary
died.

5. James I takes the crown 1603
James took the crown after
Elizabeth died, but he was
a Scotsman so he did not
know much on how to run
England.

6. English Civil War 1642
The war started after
conflict between Charles
the first and Parliament.

7. Charles I Beheaded 1649
The Civil war ended when
Charles I was captured and
beheaded.

8. Oliver Cromwell dies. 1658
Oliver Cromwell died of
malaria in 1658

9. Glorious Revolution 1688
The Glorious Revolution
was started to overthrow
King James II who fled to
France.

10. English Bill of Rights is signed. 1689
James’ daughter and son in
law came to England but
only got the throne if they
signed the English Bill of
Rights.
