Google has encouraged link baiting.

 Using a press release firm such as PR Web or PR
Newswire in the hopes of generating incoming
links.

your own sites, otherwise you can be classed as a
spammer and be banned.

 RSS (originally RDF Site Summary, often dubbed
Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed
formats used to publish frequently updated works—
such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and
video—in a standardized format. RSS feeds benefit
publishers by letting them syndicate content
automatically. A standardized XML file format allows
the information to be published once and viewed by
many different programs. They benefit readers who
want to subscribe to timely updates from favorite
websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into
one place.

 Cost/Benefit: Another free, quick, and simple
method to build links, and also syndicating your
backlinks.

12. WEB 2.0 SYNDICATION
 This is the newest type of link building strategy.
Create a Web 2.0 (Squidoo lens or HubPages)
article that details products or information in your
niche. Make sure the lens includes a link back to
your own website.

others that you are in fact an authority in your
niche, and also to connect and engage with more
and more people. Links from these web 2.0
properties can prove to be very powerful. You just

CONCLUSION
Remember, link building is a constant growing
process. One of the reasons to like link baiting is
because it's fun and creative. Find something you
enjoy creating and use it as a method to drive
incoming links. That way, link building will be a part of
your daily routine, not another unrealistic marketing
resolution. SEO is the best way to go about getting
some serious traffic in the long run, so don’t skip link
building. By all means, of course, use everything you
can, including social media marketing, PPC, and
offline efforts to bring traffic to your websites.
