Title: Numeracy Skills in Patients With Degenerative Disorders and Focal Brain Lesions: A
Neuropsychological Investigation
Hypotheses: In this paper the numerical skills and patients with degenerative disorders and
focal brains need to be analysed and thus the neuropsychological investigation can be done
for the perfect analysis of the degenerative disorders.
Mainly the hypothesis was to
characterize the numerical profiles of the patients who have been acquired with the brain
disorders. For the hypothesis was to analyse based on the statistical result.
Participants: Generally in this research or experiment to know about the numeracy skills in
the patients, the participants were chosen from the same hospitals. The patients were
identified for the research who were with the neurodegenerative disorders such as general
dementia, front temporal dementia and also the patients with the focal brain lesions so the
investigation can be done perfectly.
Results: The investigation was done on the patients with the different kind of fatal disease
which mainly happens to the ageing people in the developed countries. The non-parametric
group statistics and also the individual statistics were identified. All the patients also
including who were with the parietal lesions which is a key brain area of the numeracy
processing had an impact on the intact processing of number quantity. In other result it has
been found that the patients who had the semantic knowledge were found to have the better
preserved numerical knowledge. Also it has been found that most of the tested patients
indicated that they have impaired calculations skills instead of the other patients with most
semantic dementia.
Methods: I did the different surveys and numerical testing and then the statistical analysis
was conducted so that the correct trend can be identified. There were in total 76 participants,
40 were healthy and 36 were with the neurodegenerative disorders and with focal brain
lesions. All the patients were tested with the same comprehensive battery of paper and pencil
and also the computerized tasks.

2. Your reaction to the methods: This research was done over 76 patients. I did this
experiment on the patients with neurodegenerative disorders and also on the patients with
focal brain lesions. I would definitely respond to get the better and accurate result. I would
like this experiment as it will help in identifying the skills. This research was not a fun but
gives the actual result. The hypothesis was based on the earlier researches as well.
