The GreenHouse Games Challenge 2010 is an online program run by Sustainability Victoria and LESS Environmental to engage schools and families in sustainable actions at home. Schools register and recruit households to complete sustainable tasks over 8 weeks to earn points. Households choose from 66 actions to save energy and water. The school and household with the most points at the end wins prizes. Coordinators promote the challenge and report progress. The goal is to educate students and the community on climate change solutions.

Households have 8 weeks to earn points and contribute to their school’s total. Households report weekly. Chance to win daily prizes, weekly theme prizes and a grand prize for active participants.
