2. Jamie T – Panic Prevention
Jamie T’s album cover is very
much expressing to the audience
that he is a singer songwriter. For
his album he has used a dual
case, the front of this displays a
photograph of him sitting in a room
surrounded by albums, records,
instruments, speakers and things
related to music and other artist.
The use of putting a keyboard and
guitar in the room tells the
audience that he a solo artist, this
is because these instruments are
recognised to be associated with
singer/songwriters.
3. The mess in the room
shows a visual reference
and link between the lyrics
of the tracks on the album.
Here Jamie T sings about
money, alcohol, reckless
life and music. This has
been suggested in the
photo.
The colours of this artwork
are varied, but have been
photographed and
presented in a dull and
almost old fashioned way.
This connotes a link to a
tiredness about the life that
he sings about of this
album.
4. The back of the album shows a black background with an image of
several medals. Above is the track listings which have been
presented in the same way that Johnny Cash’s did his.
5. Inside T’s album the photograph which was on the front is repeated
inside, however Jamie T who was playing the guitar is no longer in
the photo.
The CD itself is very like many other singer/songwriter CD’s I have
looked at. Its is a very basic colour with only the album title.
The booklet inside the case contains images which relate to the
lyrics, the lyrics of this album often talk about alcohol and suggest a
reckless life. This is shown in the photographs inside.
