The Industrial Revolution was mainly about a change in
the production system – whole families who farmed their land
thus producing their own food independently were forced to
move to the cities looking for jobs which changed for ever the
family and labor life dramatically. Which of the two systems-farm
vs. Factory work; do you think leads to higher life
standards?
Why do you think countries like the United States of America,
Germany, France, Belgium and most of the rest of Western
Europe tried to follow the same paths as Great Britain in the
19th century considering poor life quality and working
conditions in the factories plus the damage caused to the
environment by industrialization?
