The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (MECS) is delighted to pres-
ent you the Second English edition of the Education Statistical Yearbook of
which the Mongolian Edition has been published annually since 2003. We are
pleased to inform you that the English Edition will be published annually in the
future.
The present English Edition contains education sector data from the aca-
demic year of 2010-2011 while the data related to the culture and science sec-
tors are from the fiscal year of 2010.
This publication is a product of the Ministry’s broader operation collecting
and analyzing data to improve planning, resource allocation, monitoring and
policy formulation for decision making.
We do hope that this publication would be helpful not only for government
agencies but also for the interested parties at the international level and the
general public.
