This document summarizes a student's progress in literacy, mathematics, inquiry, and as a learner at Whakarongo Kid (WK). In literacy, the student is reading at a 11/2 year level and writing at stage 3i. Their goals are to better summarize and identify main ideas in reading, and use a range of verbs and adjectives in writing. In mathematics, the student is proud of using decimals and division, working on fraction problems using times tables, and their goal is improving times tables and comparing fractions and decimals. For inquiry, the student is working on projects about Asia and energy efficiency, and wants to better identify key ideas in research. As a WK learner, the student wants to improve honesty

3. Literacy
MY PROGRESS IN LITERACY IS EVIDENT IN...

In my literacy learning...
One thing I have improved at in my reading is:that I am getting better in
understanding what new words mean and making connections with the story.
One goal I have for reading is: To understand my reading more by getting better at
summarising and identifying main ideas in the story.
One thing I have improved at in my writing is: using paragraphs with one main
idea.
One goal I have for writing is: using a range of specific verbs and adjectives.
I am especially proud of... using good ideas and reasons in paragraphs in my
writing.
