2. AHP History
• May 2008:
AHP opens office in Cincinnati OH as 501c3 nonprofit with mission of keeping
families in their homes
• July 2009:
Transition to for-profit
• December 2010:
As a result of lenders’ reluctance to approve logical deals, AHP transitions to
buying pools of defaulted mortgages and REOs
• November 2011:
AHP moves to Chicago and transitions to hedge fund structure, pooling
investor funds to acquire progressively larger pools
