Etiquette is a code of behavior that delineates
expectations for social behavior according to
contemporary conventional norms within a
society, social class, or group.

• Knowledge & practice of etiquette makes you self
assured & confident
• Sometimes etiquette helps in getting past
difficult situations.

4. Wine
Wine is an alcoholic beverage made
from fermented fruit juice, usually that of grapes.

5. Types of Wine
•Red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon & Pinot
Noir)
•White wine (Chardonnay & Sauvignon
Blanc)
•Sparkling wine (Champagne)

7. Pour a Bottle of Wine
•Wrap a napkin around the neck for insulation.
•Hold the bottle in the palm of your hand, label
facing the guest, so he or she can observe the
vintage.
•Pour table wine down the inside of a glass.
•Bring the bottle to the glass and twist the bottle
over the glass to halt the drops to avoid spills.

Pinch the stem of the glass between
your index finger and thumb.

• Nondrinkers need not turn the glass upside down.
Just a polite “No thanks, I do not drink”
will do.
