how will the new project help our users
meet their needs?

how a new project will help us meet our
strategic goals?

how a new project will help us do things
better or more cheaply?

how should the new thing work? how
does it work?

how, how well and how fast should we
build the new thing?

do we have the expertise to build the new
thing, and how will we fill any gaps?
what do our users really do, really want
(and how to find that out)?

what new things will have the biggest
impact on our users?

what are the best ways to communicate
with our users?
how can we find out what
they want?

Tutorial 3: Using Sources to Research Your Topic

   News articles as sources

News articles are interesting sources for a number of reasons:

✴News articles are written for a popular audience.
✴They are comparatively brief, so the writer can't give the audience too much context.
✴They are meant to be current and up-to-date.
✴However, they can also provide historical perspective.
