2. What is PollEverywhere?
 PollEverywhere is a website that allows you to create your
own electronic polls which people can answer either online
or text message.

3. Who can use PollEverywhere?
Anyone! PollEverywhere is free to use for the most basic
usage, but can poll up to 20,000 people at one time.
This is useful for many settings and people, including:
 Teachers
 Businesses
 Students
 Charities
 Conferences
 Many, many more!

4. Who can use PollEverywhere?
PollEverywhere is most suitable for older students, such
as high school or college-aged students who have ready
access to cell phones or computers and know how to
use them.

5. Pros:
 Fast and easy!
 No sign up is required for basic use
 Has access through phone, website, and twitter
 Keeps your number private – won’t spam
 Keeps peoples’ identities anonomys
 Free usage when polling up to 30 people
 Makes large crowds more personal with auto reply
 Has many available options

6. Cons:
 Doesn’t reach out to people without cell phones or
computers handy
 Can cost up to $1,400 for usage with large crowds

7. How to use PollEverywhere: Step 1
 Decide how many people you are going to poll
 Go to http://www.polleverywhere .com/
 Choose the option that is right for you
 To create a fast and easy free poll, click the ‘Create Your
First Poll’ green button.

8. How to use PollEverywhere: Step 2
Choose what kind of poll you would like to make
 Multiple choice poll [with a) b) c) answers]
 Example: What is your favorite color? A) Blue B) Red C) Green
 Text poll [allow audience to reply with whatever text
they want]
 Example: What did you think of the presentation?
 Goal poll [people can donate money using this feature]

10. How to use PollEverywhere: Step 3
 Think of the question you want to ask your audience
and type it into the text box. If it is a multiple choice
question, be sure to type in the choices as well.

11. How to use PollEverywhere: Step 4
Use the toolbar on the right to decide how many times
people are allowed to respond, if you would like to
send a reply message to their phone, how people can
respond, and who can respond.

12. How to use PollEverywhere: Step 5
 Save your poll by clicking the green button on the
bottom left.

13. How to use PollEverywhere: Step 6
 Share with your audience!

14. Results:
 Watch the results come up live by using the live chart
option.

15. Results:
 Switch to summary table view by using the option on
the right hand side.

16. Results:
 You can choose to download your poll as a powerpoint
slide to share the results by using the option on the
right hand toolbar.

17. Results:
 You can also choose to share and publish your results
using the same right hand toolbar.
