8. Course Description
• This course provides students with a broad survey of the
individual, organizational, and cultural impact of current
and emerging technologies.
• The course focuses on understanding relevant managerial
issues related to managing information technologies
development and implementation

Examination of the dual challenges of effectively
controlling the use of well-established information
technologies while experimenting with emerging
technologies to enable new business models.

• Analyze and report on the current and emerging
technologies within an organizational strategy
framework
• Identify roles and values of various emerging technologies in area
such as emerging computer platforms, telecommunications,
networking, data management, internet and telecommunication to
improve an organization's efficiency.
• Demonstrate significant expertise in an emerging technology of students
own choice by conducting a guided research study and submitting a
research report.

methods of developing, acquiring, implementing and
securing an organizational and inter-organizational

Final project - The students will choose an existing local or global
