8. Muslim Homeland – “Now or never”
The name of the
suggested separate muslim
state was coined by
Cambridge student and
Muslim nationalist
Choudhary Rahmat Ali, and
was published on 28
January 1933 in the
pamphlet “Now or Never”.

August 1947, British India
gave way to two new
independent states, the
Dominion of Pakistan and
the Union of India, both
dominions which joined the
British Commonwealth.
11. Population Data
Geographic distribution
The majority of Southern Pakistan’s population lives along the
Indus River. Karachi is the most populous city in Pakistan. In
the northern half , most of the population lives about an arc
formed by cities of Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad,
Gujranwala, Sialkot, Nowshera, Sawabi, Mardan and
Peshawar.
