CONTEXTUALIZE TOPIC: WHO AM I? WHO ARE YOU?
AIMS
MAIN AIMS: To be able to introduce themselves and another person using a funny song.
PERSONAL AIMS: To be active in the class.
ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS
 One of the possible problems is children do not understand the teacher.
 Another problem is: there is no power in the school and consequently, teacher could not use the technological aids or those are not
working.
 There is indiscipline in the classroom.
 Forgetting the photocopies.
II. MATERIALS: Computer, Speakers, Cardboard, Marker, Board, Photocopies, Flash Cards.

ICEBREAKER Teacher greets to students and introduces
himself/herself.
Playing Simon says game, using commands.
Teacher is going to sing “Hello Teacher” song (1) in
order to students learn it and every class, they sing it.
Teacher makes gestures while he/she is signing and
students have to imitate the teacher.

verbal y no verbal.

saludan y se despiden
de mí.

WHILE Teacher is going to teach them how to introduce
themselves through a funny song (2). And then,
everybody has to sing and to make gestures.
 After that, teacher gives a piece of cardboard (Annex 1)
in which students have to write their names and
decorate it.
Teacher shows some flash cards (Annex 2) which those
have representative drawings about time of day so as to
realize if students know the different greetings. Then,
Teacher is going to teach them how to greet according
to the time using a song (3), he/she makes gestures
and students imitate him/her.
Students have to develop a photocopy (Annex 3) about
greetings.
Socializing the photocopies among all.

HOMEWORK  Teacher is going to put homework and explains it. It
consists of asking for parents’ name and writing in the
notebook.
 Students organize the chairs and clean the classroom.

PLAN B
 In an indiscipline case, teacher is going to use the commands in order to control them.
 If there is no power. Teacher has to sing the songs.
 Whether photocopies are forgotten, teacher is going to draw on the board some greetings and consequently, students have to draw it in the
notebook.

  • 1. UNIVERSIDAD DE LA AMAZONIA EDUCATION SCIENCES FACULTY ENGLISH DEGREE PROGRAM TEACHING PRACTICE I I-2014 LESSON PLAN FORM Nº 01 I. DESCRIPTION I.E.: INSTITUCION EDUCATIVA CIUDADELA SIGLE XXI LEVEL 5:2 – 3:1 NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 35-40 DATE: MARCH 16TH, 2015 HOUR: 6:30 AM TO 8:30 AM 12:15 PM TO 4:15 PM S-T´S NAME: LUIS FERNANDO GALEANO CARDOZO C-T´S NAME: GRAMMAR TOPIC: VERB TO BE CONTEXTUALIZE TOPIC: WHO AM I? WHO ARE YOU? AIMS MAIN AIMS: To be able to introduce themselves and another person using a funny song. PERSONAL AIMS: To be active in the class. ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS  One of the possible problems is children do not understand the teacher.  Another problem is: there is no power in the school and consequently, teacher could not use the technological aids or those are not working.  There is indiscipline in the classroom.  Forgetting the photocopies. II. MATERIALS: Computer, Speakers, Cardboard, Marker, Board, Photocopies, Flash Cards.

PROCEDURES STAGE ACTIVITIES STANDARDS INTERACTION PATTERNS TIMING ICEBREAKER Teacher greets to students and introduces himself/herself. Playing Simon says game, using commands. Teacher is going to sing “Hello Teacher” song (1) in order to students learn it and every class, they sing it. Teacher makes gestures while he/she is signing and students have to imitate the teacher. ESCUCHA:  Reconozco cuando me hablan en inglés y reacciono de manera verbal y no verbal.  Entiendo cuando me saludan y se despiden de mí. ESCRITURA: escribo información personal en formatos sencillos. CONVERSACIÓN: respondo a saludos y a despedidas. Teacher-students 05’ 10’ 15’ WHILE Teacher is going to teach them how to introduce themselves through a funny song (2). And then, everybody has to sing and to make gestures.  After that, teacher gives a piece of cardboard (Annex 1) in which students have to write their names and decorate it. Teacher shows some flash cards (Annex 2) which those have representative drawings about time of day so as to realize if students know the different greetings. Then, Teacher is going to teach them how to greet according to the time using a song (3), he/she makes gestures and students imitate him/her. Students have to develop a photocopy (Annex 3) about greetings. Socializing the photocopies among all. Teacher-students Students- students Students-teacher 15’ 20’ 15’ 20’ 10’ HOMEWORK  Teacher is going to put homework and explains it. It consists of asking for parents’ name and writing in the notebook.  Students organize the chairs and clean the classroom. Teacher-students 5’ 5’ PLAN B  In an indiscipline case, teacher is going to use the commands in order to control them.  If there is no power. Teacher has to sing the songs.  Whether photocopies are forgotten, teacher is going to draw on the board some greetings and consequently, students have to draw it in the notebook.
