Good afternoon,Winkettes! Thank you for having me. Again, my name is Angela Quisumbing and I am excited to talk to you today about how to maximize your business with creative marketing and social media.
Let me start by giving you a little background about myself and what I do. I have an education in business, marketing, event management and strategic communications. I started blogging consistently when I became pregnant with my daughter. The Pinky Project is a where I share my adventures of being a first time parent. Once I decided to share my blog with others through social media outlets, such as Facebook and twitter, opportunities were presented to me on a regular basis:- To write as an authority on a specific subject such as date night,To have my own column within an already established website To represent local blog communities on the local news stationsTo become a teacher of social media and marketingNot only were doors opening for me, I met a ton of amazing people online, including my partner – SAM - I developed a huge network of like-minded women I might not have otherwise met, had it not been for social media. All of these opportunities and people have led me to where I am today. Founder of Mira Mesa Mom, a hyper-local community site dedicated to serving and celebrating moms in and around Mira Mesa, while promoting local businesses. And Co-Founder of SD Mom’s Night Out an event created for moms and businesses to connect in a welcoming environment…to relax, mix, mingle and network in disguise! Managing multiple social media accounts…These events have also led me here to you ;)
