Effective communication is one of the most
important factors contributing to the
success of a project.

of everyone on the project team. The project
manager, however, is responsible to develop
the Project Communication Management Plan
with the input from the task managers and
Project Development Team (PDT).

identified stakeholders, such as Project Team
Members, project management and staff, customer
management and staff, and external stakeholders.
 What is being communicated — the message; the
information being communicated.
 When the information is communicated —
weekly, monthly, quarterly, as needed, or as
identified.
 How the information is distributed— in a meeting, a
memorandum, an email, a newsletter, a
presentation, etc.
 Who will provide the information being
communicated.
