2.  Garhwal: The region consists primarily of rugged
mountain ranges that are interspersed with valleys that
have the rivers running through them. The treks here are a
mountaineer's delight, with the high alpine meadows
forming the perfect viewing for the Himalayan peaks that
seem a stone's throw away. Garhwal's prominent peaks are
Nanada Devi, Kamet, Trishul, Badrinath and Kedarnath.
