2. Beatrix Potter Beatrix's childhood could not be described as a happy one. Helen Beatrix Potter entered this life on the 28th July 1866 Number two Bolton Gardens, the Potter's home, was a very sombre place for a little girl even in Victorian times. Her presence was rarely requested outside the Nursery and her solitary life was lonely and restricted. She was an only child for the first five years, she was never taken anywhere and she never went to school. Helen Beatrix Potter, who was known as Beatrix to distinguish her from her mother Her parents, Helen and Rupert Potter, were rich having inherited fortunes from the Lancashire Cotton Industry. Personal vanity was discouraged in the Potter household however Beatrix was subjected to the 'starching and brushing and tying up with ribbons, the lacing of boots and the carrying of muffs'

3. Cicley Mary Barker Facts! Birthplace: Croydon, Surrey, England Lived: June 28, 1895 - February 16, 1973 Nationality: English Specialty: Children with butterfly wings wearing costumes that matched a particular flower. Died: February 16, 1973, age 77 Fun Facts: She sold her first works of art at age 15, soon after she was offered a life membership in the Croydon Art Society, at 16 she was the youngest person to ever receive this honour. Education: As a child she suffered from epilepsy and was home schooled, later she studied at the Croydon School of Art.

4. Why? Personally the reason why I have choose to do a Slide on Beatrix potter and cicely Mary barker because they write books about magical things wildlife, countryside and Flowers there all very beautiful and very powerful things to me.
