3. Good evening. This is Gale Fawcett with the weather forecast for tomorrow. It’s Easter Saturday, and a lot of people are going away on holiday. We’re going to look at the European weather map for tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock. First, the bad news. It’s raining in Spain at the moment. And the good news? It isn’t going to rain tomorrow! It’s going to be a hot, sunny day, with temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius . The rain is going to move into France tonight. Tomorrow is going to be wet and windy in the South of France. In Italy it’s going to be a dry day, but cloudy. The temperature there is going to be about 20 or 21 degrees Celsius. What about Greece? Well, the sun’s going to shine there. A very hot day, with temperatures about 30 degrees in Athens, 27 or 28 degrees in the islands. And Britain? Sorry, but it’s going to be a cold, wet day again. It’s going to snow in Scotland, and there’s going to be thunder in the North of England. Have a nice holiday!

4. In the UK, shcool sports are usually called ‘Games’. All schoolchildren attend sports lessons. In many schools, students have ‘Games’ and other outdoor activities on Wednesday afternoons. Westminster Comprehensive School is in London. In the first and second years, the outdoor sports are football and hockey in the winter and tennis and cricket in the summer. In the third and fourth years, they concentrate on athletics. In the fifth year, the students choose their favourite outdoor sport. The boys usually choose football and cricket. The girls usually prefer hockey and tennis. The students also do a lot of indoor sports and activities. Every Monday, they play basketball. The volleyball club meets on Tuesday and there is a chess club every Wednesday evening. On Thursday evenings, a lot of the children play table tennis. But Fridays, they go to the school’s very popular Disco Dancing club. There is no school on Saturday. But some students go to the local swimming-pool then. School clubs in England
