Mercer Mayer -He’s an American children’s book writer and illustrator best know for “Little Critter” and “Little Monster”. -Mayer’s first book had no words, it told the story through his illustrations, many gave him credit as being one of the creators of the wordless picture form. -He collaborated with his wife Marianna to create the book Beauty and the Beast
