2. Scope of the study To know the effectiveness of training program conducted by Milma Dairy. To know whether the training programs improves the performance of employees.
3. Statement Of The Problem In this particular firm the productivity and performance of the employees seem to be very low. Even though the management have given systematic and periodic training practice to them it is not at all able to fulfill their need for job satisfaction. In this organization the effort for giving job based training have never been adopted.
4. Objectives of the study To understand the existing training program in Kollam Dairy. To study whether training increase the quality of production. To find out whether the employees are satisfied with the training program prevailing in Kollam Dairy. To know whether the employees are motivated by the training program.
5. Research Design Type of research:- Descriptive research design Population:- Employees in the organization. Sample Size:- 50 Sampling technique:-Convenience sampling method Tools for Data collections:- Interview schedule
6. Primary sources:- Informal interview with the managers. Interviewing the workers who have undergone training by using interview schedule. Secondary sources:- Company profiles Manual of Kollam Dairy Book and Journals.
7. Limitations of the study As the study has to be completed with in a short span of time of 45 days The busy schedule of employees
8. Findings Training program resulted in reduction in problems. The effectiveness of training program on objective accomplishment is moderate. The trainers for the training program is average. The opinion of respondents about the training program has result in higher level of job satisfaction is average. The effectiveness of training program on objective accomplishment is moderate. Opinion towards the motivational impact of training program is moderate.
9. Suggestions The management should try to provide the employees more job specific training, that will help them to increase their skills for doing specific job. The management should give more effective training after evaluating the past performance of employees. Modern training methods should be identified and executed properly after assessing needs from the different level is of employees is need for the hour. On the job training as well as off the job training should be arranged twice a year to increase the job related skills.
10. Conclusion The findings reveal the fact that the opinion of the respondents towards their training practices is moderate. The training program conducted in MILMA, KollamDiary has a scope for an improvement in the future. The organization should allow sufficient time for the training program according to the feedback given by the employees. The management should try to provide training to the employees according to the needs on their job.
