Independent nation-state with 24 oblasts (regions) and the autonomous republic of Crimea A republic of the Soviet Union until 1991 Unemployment Rate – 8.4% **In the last quarter of 2009, only 2% of Ukrainians aged over 16 years old used Internet through the mobile communication network. The number of mobile Internet users are 3.5% of all Ukrainians aged over 16 in the fourth quarter of 2010. Usage of mobile Internet is the most typical for the youth aged between 16-19 years old – 14% in this group use this access type, and for the villagers – 10% of them use mobile Internet.
