The Egyptian Information Telecommunications, Electronics &
Software Alliance (EITESAL)
EHITA
founded in 1996 & ESA (
founded in 1997 were merged in 2004 to form
EITESAL the oldest and unique NGO representing the entire
Egyptian ICTE industry.
This merger process was initiated by Mr. Hany Elkolaly….
EITESAL Members range from ultra small to multinationals
EITESAL membership is voluntary, not obligated by law

3. International Affiliations
EITESAL is a member of the World Information
Technology and Services Alliance WITSA
Founding member of African ICT Alliance AFICTA
Eitesal is a member of the International Chamber of
Commerce (ICC) and participating in the international
initiatives like CSTD ( Committee of Science &
Technology Development)

4. Society Driven Collaboration
ITIDA is adopting the strategy of empowering the civil
society organizations and building a strong society to
represent the community. Instead of few NGO’s of small
membership pool, a single strong one will be capable of
sustainable management on the long term
Elabs is now in the process of merging with Eitesal by next
January. Then, Eitesal will establish a dedicated group for
e-content

Alexandria & Mansoura, and Assuit.

The four entities are collaborating together to form a
single civil society entity capable of sustainable growth

6. Principles of Collaboration
ASITA members will receive all services that Eitesal is
rendering to its members.
ASITA will deliver local services as per the request of its
members.
Yearly business plans will be worked out collaboratively
and presented to ITIDA for approval.
Eitesal will render services & training to the executive staff
of ASITA.

Vision
EITESAL to be the main driver leading the development,
promotion and transformation of the Egyptian ICTE industry.
Mission
EITESAL will help in developing and implementing a
strategy for the evolution of Egypt’s ICTE industry,
improving the business environment for members by
promoting their local and international interests and by
creating a strong and positive synergy among Egyptian
industry stakeholders.

12. Management & Governance
EITESAL is run through a flat organizational structure. All
members are involved in the decision making process
through divisions and committees.
Board Membership is limited to 6 years.
Each division/committee has an elected taskforce formed
of Chair, Vice Chair, and up to 3 members.
The Board represents all divisions.
Executive Office Membership is limited to 4 years.

Divisions
Formed on sectorial basis, divisions are setup from member
companies to have an active and influential role in
accomplishing EITESAL's mission and strategic
objectives, each in its line of business.
All member companies' representatives form divisions each in
its own sector; hence, enabling down to earth problem solving.

HR Committee Mandate
The Human Resource Managers are dedicated to the service of the HR
profession. The Committee seeks to build awareness of the HR profession
and to provide a stimulating environment to enrich and develop the
organizations through: networking, research and learning opportunities;
monthly training programs demanded from the committee and workshops
addressing critical issues; sharing best HR practices.

Divisions are formed to discuss specific issues, problems and
difficulties that need to be advocated within the governmental
agencies.
Being a division member, the member will share his views &
suggestions of EITESAL action plans.
Building Capacity Training Programs (funded or complementary) to
improve the business and technological environment for members
Assisting members in their marketing efforts in circulating their
products/ services to all members via EITESAL portal.
