Results for Questionnaire
These are the results of my evaluation questionnaire
1. Would you buy this magazine? Yes/No why?
Yes – 8 because it looks very appealing and the colours are really nice and
attractive, its very eye catching and pleasing to the eye.
No – 2 because I don’t really listen to hip hop music and I don’t personally
liked he colours that have been chosen.
2. Do you like the colour scheme that has been chosen? Why?
Yes – 7 because it’s very different it’s not like something that you’ve seen
before and that what makes it eye catching and very nice to look at.
No – 3 because it was a bit too bright and they didn’t really like the actual
colour teal because it’s a bit different and you don’t see it on music
magazines.
3. What stands out most about the front cover? Explain
The image of the artists because he looks like he fits there and he actually
looks like a hip hop artist, and because his good looking.
4. Do you like the image that has been chosen for the front cover? Why?
Yes because he actually looks like a hip hop artist and looks right, it works
very well with the genre of the magazine.
5. Do you think the cover lines suit the genre of my music magazine?
Yes I think they do because it fits in with the genre of the magazine which is
hip hop/RnB and the cover lines talk about the struggles that the artist faced
and so have many other hip hop artists.
6. What could be done to improve the front cover?
I think that there could be a few more cover lines as there aren’t that many at
all it looks a bit plain. Also the cover lines could be a bit straighter as they
don’t seem as if they are lined up together.
7. What stands out most about the contents page? Explain
The colour scheme stands out most on the contents page as it’s not too bright
and it’s definitely not dull. Also the fact that there are two images stands out
because there’s not just one thing that you focus on, it looks very nice.

The colour scheme I think that he colours that have been chosen work really
well with the plain white background.
9. What could be done to improve the contents page? Explain
To improve the contents page I think that the gaps between each of the
content paragraphs should be closed as some of them have too big of a gap
and some have a small gap.
10. What stands out most about the double page spread? Explain
The image of the artists stands out most about the double page spread
because it’s very large and the artists is good looking so that also what
attracts you to the page.
11. Do you like the image that has been chosen for the double page spread?
Why?
Everyone said yes because they think that the artists is very good looking and
actually looks like an artist’s you could image her on the TV, and she also
looks very professional.
12. What do you like about the double page spread? Explain
The thing that I like about the double page spread is the colour scheme that
has been chosen, it is pink and that instantly makes it feel girly and lures you
in to read on.
13. What would you improve about the double page spread? Explain
To improve the double page spread I think that the colour of the artists name
should be a different colour as it looks too pink.
14. What do you think about the overall magazine? Do you think it looks
professional and meets the conventions of a music magazine?
Overall I think that the front cover, contents page and double page spread
look very professional
15. Do you think it could compete with other music magazines? Explain
Yes – 9 because it looks very professional and it looks like it would be an
interesting magazine.
No – 1 because it doesn’t look good enough
