 A typical commercial website is used for ecommerce to sell something to

the audience however there may be other purposes too:
e.g. to give additional details about a product &
provide further information on how it works.
e.g. often linked with a new music, movie or TV show
release to promote launch dates and typical cost.

 The criteria for analysing a website is as follows:
 Purpose – What’s the point of the website? e.g. Information, Promotion
 Visitor Needs – What are the requirements of the user?
 Information Flow – How easy is the website to use? e.g. Layout, Navigation
 Features – What are the key features of the page? e.g. Rich Media, Graphics

 Benefits – What are the positive aspects of this company being online?
 Content – What pages are included? What is on the pages?
