2. Different types of
dancing
There are lots of different types of dancing,
Here are some of them:
• Tap
• Ballet
• Freestyle
• Modern
• Jazz
• Ice skating
• Rock
I especially like Freestyle.
3. Tap
• This has evolved as an American dance form,
popularised throughout the world, with debate about
its origins coming from African dance, Irish dance
and/or clog dancing. The dancer uses their feet to
strike the floor, beating out different rhythms, with
dancers wearing tap shoes which have small metal
plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive
sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen
on stage in musicals.
4. Ballet
• The most important part of a ballet dancer's
equipment is ballet shoes. After several years
of proper training, some female ballet dancers
wear point shoes to make them appear lighter
and more delicate. Ballet dancers wear tights
and leotards to class and rehearsals, as tight,
form-fitting clothing is best for dancing.
Tutus, or ballet skirts, are usually reserved
for performances and recitals.
5. Freestyle
• Freestyle dancing can apply to numerous
dance types and can be defined as any style
of dance where the moves are not thought out
ahead and where no choreography of the
moves occurs before the dance begins. It is
literally thinking on your feet in this sense,
and freestyle dancing can exist in almost all
dance forms. As freestyle implies, the dancer
is free to make it up as he or she goes, though
if you are dancing a waltz, you generally don’t
freestyle into a different dance form like the
tango.
