Introduction
I chose Egypt because I like its
history. It has beautiful sights and
tourists are there almost every day
taking pictures and note taking about
its history. Egypt's population is
above 85,294,388. The capital city of
Egypt is Cairo and most of the
Egyptians speak Arabic. Most of them
have a Islamic religion.
Geography
I know that west of Egypt is
Libya, On the north is the
Mediterranean Sea , On the east is
Israel and south is Sudan. The river
Nile flows through the two deserts. It
flows toward the Mediterranean Sea.
Gebal Katrina , also known as Mount
Catherine, is the tallest mountain in
Egypt. It is 2642 meters in height. The
River Nile is led to the delta that leads
to several cities.
Most of the mountains are in
Eastern Egypt and most of Egypt's
beaches are there too.
Climate
In Egypt as some people say the weather
there is hot. Its true! The climate there, is
extremely hot . In the northern part of
Egypt it barely rains. The rain fall is only
2.5 cm. The summer average temperature
is 50’0 Celsius and the winter average
temperature is 9’0 Celsius. Its hot in
summer because it is attached to the
Sahara desert which is one of the hottest
deserts in the world.
Climate chart
Culture
In Egypt half of the people are Muslim. Egyptians
celebrate the holiday Ramadan once a year. From four in
the morning till sundown they cant eat or drink a thing.
They usually eat with friends and family. When
Ramadan ends Egyptians celebrate eid al –fitr on that
day they give money to poor children and their children
to celebrate the day of eid. Kushari is one of Egypt's
most famous food, its rare to find it in any other country.
Egyptian men like to wear cotton pants and a long shirt
called galabbiyah ( ga–li-bee-yah). Egyptian women
wear black dresses like a galabiyah and children wear
them but in bright colors.
Economy
Egypt struggles difficulties in
industry and business. There are a lot
of nation. Produced food for the
people but now half of their food and
materials imported. They imported
raw cotton-cement-rubber and a lot
of other things. In result Egypt has to
borrow money from other countries.
History
Egypt is long and rich, because of
River Nile flow, with its banks and
delta. Its rich history comes from its
native in habitats and outside
influence Egypt's ancient history was
a mystery until the secret the of
ancient Egyptian were deciphered
with the discovery and help the
rosette stone. The Great Pyramid of
Iza is the only at the seven wonder of
ancient world.
Rosetta Stone
Conclusion
Egypt is an amazing country. I
learned a lot about the Rosetta
Stone, and the Egyptians thought it
had words on it. In the
introduction the population was
85,294,388 but now that there is
war its obvious that the population
dropped.
