At Jira Service Desk Day 2018 in San Francisco, our Head of Atlassian Services Bogusław Osuch told the story of one of the world’s leading financial services companies, which was one of the first to implement Jira Service Desk in IT services back in early 2014. Before JSD, they had used several systems and processes to manage requests, which were not integrated with each other. It could be email, open source OTRS, IBM ClearQuest or a very limited use of Jira Software. Imagine that some branches had been serviced even by paperwork! By implementing Jira Service Desk as a unified IT service tool, as well as a couple of custom features to fit their particular needs, MetLife managed to reduce their access management ticket flow by 25%, improve their acceptance chain and customize their Help Center to meet the customers’ expectations.

The WorkflowGen workflow software was implemented at the Graduate School in order to effectively turn grant applications into a paperless process. Since a typical grant application can go through as many as ten separate approval points, there needed to be a way to streamline the paper flow, and reduce the time taken to complete the approval process.

Curricula in Technology-CURITE is an organizational and educational strategy designed to build basic ICT/digital skills along K-12 education, while also developing the skills necessary to pursue a new literacy order. This brief offers practical information and important considerations towards the incorporation and infusion of technology in the curricula, with advice on engaging stakeholders, teacher support, planning, execution, and assessments. In promoting teacher competency alongside school teambuilding and technology integration, CURITE provides means to positively influence teacher professional development and classroom quality, fostering benefits that go beyond the scope of current mainstream technology curricula.

Appendix A Proof of effectiveness of some of the agile methods used to develop systems requirements In all software development methodologies, the process of collecting, understanding and managing all requirements for a system is a crucial process in software development. Similar to all this other methods, agile methods are not exceptional. Most agile method handle requirements in order to implement them as much accurately as possible to satisfy all the customer demands. This is usually achieved by maintaining a continuous interaction with the customers to address their needs according to priority and functionalities. In this appendix, we shall be focusing on continuous process of improving the development process. Some agile methods include the following 1. eXtreme Programming (XP) – it improves a software project in communication, simplicity, feedback and courage. 2. scrum- this is an agile, iterative and incremental method which takes care of all changes that may come across in the life-cycle of the project. Basically, it adds energy, focus and clarity to development teams. Its major aim is ot see the whole system being a successful product. 3. Dynamic system, development method (DSDM) 4. Adaptive software development (ASD)- this is a development process that is a product of rapid application development. It has four phases of communication and planning, analysis, testing & deployment and design and deployment. 5. the crystal family Due to availability of these various methods, the potential adopters may experience a challenge of determining what to apply on its own and therefore there was need to define a document containing all the necessary values and common qualities to be used across all agile methods. This document is the Agile Manifesto and focuses mainly on human interactivity and processes management. 1. Individual and interaction over various processes and tasks. Usually the agile process will focus more on people and their interactivity but not on the structural processes and tools. 2. Working software and documentation. Main objective of the developers is actually delivering a functional code which will always add value to our users. Well documented code is always self-documented. 3. Responding to change over planning. Here developers are required to respond very fast to the requirements variations. Time used in planning is minimal compared to what our users actually requires. 4. Customer collaboration over contracts. The mutual relationship of the developers and susers of our system is monitored and regulated through engaging the customer in the development process. The figure below shows the steps in agile methodologies which focus on an iteration and adaptable change. 5. Tools needed for requirement management in agile methods of system development. 1. The most popular tools in agile methods include paper, pencil a drawing pin board. If we consider eXtreme programming requirements are obtained from user stories which ar.

This system is very disorganized, creates a great deal of confusion, and makes it very difficult to keep track of the members of the gym which in turn makes it very difficult to determine the actual financial health of the gym. To resolve these issues Devil Dogg Database application will be developed and tested during this project lifecycle. The application is a web based software application that allows a gym going customer to determine their membership type, the cost of that membership, and the features the membership provides is required for the Devil Dogg Crossfit company. The compatibility of the application with other OS platform will require specific testing The two tier Thin-client model will be the chosen architecture to host the application. With interconnectivity between IT Service Providers and their customers and partners growing, fueled by proliferation of IT Services Outsourcing, with some providers gaining leading positions in marketplace today, challenges are faced by teams who are tasked to deliver integration projects with much desired efficiencies both in cost and schedule. Such integrations are growing both in volume and complexity. Integrations between different autonomous systems such as workflow systems of the providers and their customers are an important element of this emerging paradigm. In this paper we present an efficient model to implement such interfaces between autonomous workflow systems with close attention given to major phases of these projects, from requirement gathering/analysis, to configuration/coding, to validation/verification, several levels of testing and finally deployment. By deploying a comprehensive strategy and implementing it in a real corporate environment, a 10%-20% reduction in cost and schedule year over year was achieved for past several years primarily by improving testing techniques and detecting bugs earlier in the development life-cycle. Some practical considerations are outlined in addition to detailing the strategy for testing the autonomous system integrations domain.

RUNNING HEAD: ERP SYSTEM IMPLIMENTATION PROJECT 1 ERP SYSTEM IMPLIMENTATION PROJECT 17 ERP SYSTEM IMPLIMENTATION PROJECT Introduction Selecting the right project to do from so many available projects is a difficult task. Making choice on the project to do may sound obvious, however, choosing the right project increases the chances of being successful in the project. People should take enough time to choose the kind of project that they intent to do. The success and completion of the project is also affected by the time the individual spent in choosing the project and setting up for success right at the start of the project. It is very fundamental to apply some practically perfect filters to the process of selecting of the project to make sure that the good ones get through and the bad ones are disallowed. This process is a part of the practically perfect project management method as it is the initial step in any successful project. The process of project selection begins with all the potential project going through a repeatable and rigorous and appropriate selection process (Frank, 2011). The project chosen is the installation of the ERP system. The first question before starting this project is knowing whether there is a need for this system. ERP system purchase should be considered if the firm is faced with issues of disparate data, time lag and operational inefficiencies. The firm that is in an excessive need of manual labor, hardships in reconciling financial and problems in coordination of inventory, sales and manufacturing and extracting sound business data out of the system needs to have this system. There is also an increased need for IT for maintaining the firm operations and the system integration. These are some of the things that make the ERP project necessary. The knowledge on the products offered by the firm, the objectives in the IT and operational infrastructure are critical in choosing the ERP system. Prior to choosing this project, several factors were considered. There are several decision points that need to be looked at before the project starts. The selection criteria that the project team need to know before the start of the project is needed. There are several considerations to guide in the selection of this project. Identifying the stakeholders The ERP system is not like other small software packages in a company that only effects only a section of the firm. It is a large system that has impact on every sector of the business. This makes the stakeholders of this project to include the users from all parts of the company and every level of the company that is affected by the system. This includes the end users who get the information collected or the workers who find that the processes of the firm they are used to have been changed. The stakeholders and the users who are involved ...

Simplified application management framework created taking information from PMBOK, ITIL, COBIT5, CMMI, ASL and Microsoft compliance. This aims at putting the first steps in place to be able to understand and manage an applications life cycle. The project was undertaken to try and identify how to reduce risk associated with the applications that the department create, implement and manage. It dovetailed into an audit of the applications that the department use and have implemented in the past 5 years.
