2. NAIVE CITY The main focus of our film is about how different people from different worlds can come together and find love unexpectedly. We’re going to focus in on a boy and girl (Josh and Poppy) who are “social outcasts” from the rest of the people in their year but also socially different from each other. However they have some elements of their character that are very similar which will have an impact on how they meet each other.
3.
4. HOW?? We are going to portray this through a spilt screen which will show the audience how aspects of the characters lives are similar but they do not realise it. FOR EXAMPLE: In one of the shots with poppy she will be walking through a park then a few shots later we will see Josh walking through the same spot
5. Setting Our film will be set in the Greenwich area, the reason we have chosen this area to set our film in is because it is a beautiful place and it reflects our characters. Greenwich is a place where people go to draw/photograph and just sit and think.
6. POPPY Poppy is the 17 year old new girl from Cornwall. She is very Artistic and has a passion for photography esp. film based. She has only lived in Greenwich for a few months and she is finding it difficult to make friends although this doesn’t phase her because she prefers her own company and only has a few close friends mainly girls. Poppy isn’t happy about the move and she only has photos to remind her of her old life this is where her passion for photography started because she wants to keep the memories safe.
7. JOSH Josh is 18 years old and has lived in Greenwich all of his life. His parents split two years ago and as a result of this his popularity tumbled because he became quite aggressive with those who were trying to help him, but this changed when he discovered a passion for music especially that of the indie genre from then on writing songs and playing music was his way of dealing with parents divorce. The people in josh’s life are finding it hard to believe he has changed and he is trying very hard to gain peoples trust again. Josh has become a very private person since his parents split making it hard for new people to get close to him.
8. MUSIC FOR TITLE SEQUENCE The song we have chosen to play over the top of our title sequence is Mumm-Ra She’s got you high. The reason we have chosen this song is because its written about a boy who has had a bad time of things recently and there’s someone out there who is going to change all of that. “ She’s got you high and you don’t even know yet”
9. Target Audience The target audience for our film is 12-19 year olds because films like Angus Thongs And Perfect Snogging have an age rating of 12 but they relate to a wider audience and this is what we would like our film to portray
