  1. General Presentation Notes This is a multi-purpose “first call” presentation, to allow anyone in the company to position KDS effectively to a variety of audiences using core messages. No attempt is made in this presentation to address in detail every topic that could be of interest to a customer or to deliver core messages in every way imaginable. This is a management validated aggregation of best practice content which will be further refined over time. Modification / customisation of this presentation is to be encouraged as the situation demands. Indeed, at over 50 slides it is not expected that all the content is shown end-to-end. The Show/Hide slide function is a quick and effective way to refine the content of this deck down to a more manageable level, appropriate either to the situation or to the preferences and presentation style of the presenter. Distributed through the presentation are customer quotes and testimonials. It’s not suggested that you draw attention to these. The idea is that they just sink in and give weight to the content of the pages. Speaker Notes are provided for this presentation. They are normally split into notes about the slide and how to use it and actual things to say. The things to say are in italics and enclosed in quotation marks. They mostly refer only to the slide in question and not to the flow due to the envisaged modular nature of the deck. It is recommended that the presentation therefore be given using the “presenter view” which is built into Microsoft ppt. Instructions for setting this up are below (the below instructions assume that you are running on a two screen configuration in “extended desktop” mode. 1. Start PowerPoint on the primary monitor and open the required slide show. 2. Choose Slide Show – Set up Show menu. (I have used Office 2003 as a reference). 3. Notice that there is a section called Multiple Monitors. 4. This is enabled only when dual monitors are configured. 5. Open the popup – “Display slide show on” popup and choose ‘Secondary Display’. 6. Also enable the Presenter View. 7. That’s it. Now run the presentation as usual. 8. The secondary display will show the presentation in full screen mode. 9. You will also see a Presenter view on your base monitor. From this view, you can read notes, navigate slides, view slide thumbnails, view elapsed time and so on.
