 1929 teach geographie and history in Bengal
 1937 became head teacher took her final promise
 In 1946 she got the calling to work with the poor
 began missionary work with the poor of Calcutta
 1948 she took Indian citizenship and opened her first school in
Motjhil to serve the homeless and starving.

 1950 she started the missionaries of charity
 13 nuns now there are over 4,000
 they expanded their ministry to other countries

 people with AIDS
