2. My original target audience
I wanted to make
my magazine like
NME but
targeted at the
key demographic
of female, aged
16-24 years of
Class C1 (lower
middle class).
I wanted the
magazine to be a I aimed to achieve this by setting it out in a neat and girly
mixture between style using a nice range of candy colours and also using
Cosmopolitan a vintage theme of photography.
and NME.
3. My original reader Profile
My magazine reader is a 18 year old female from York. She has just finished college
studying a levels, doing textiles, art, English and photography. On a weekend she has a
part time job working at Topshop.
She has just applied at university for a creative course. She is very passionate about
photography and in her spare time, at the weekend she works on her photography
portfolio with her boyfriend.
She also has a good close group of 'girl friends' who often mean up in town to look in
vintage shops of a good bargain of some high fashion items! Then going to Starbucks to
discuss 'boyfriends' and upcoming music events. Her style is unique and fashion is very
important to her and her girls.
Music leads a great influence on the group of friends, as when together they discuss new
bands in the Indie industry and talk about old classics like Red Hot Chilli Peppers! Her
boyfriend has been teaching her how to play the guitar which she has always been
wanting to learn. She goes to many gigs and festivals and enjoys the atmosphere at these
events, with her circle of friend/boyfriends friends, and is a very creative, happy
and artistic individual.
