3. What is mentoring? Mentoring consists essentially in connecting 2 persons , where the experienced one is providing support, encouragement and guidance to the other. As the concept of “experience” is only relative to a particular field or environment, it paves the way for cross mentoring where the 2 persons are alternatively embracing the roles of Mentor & Mentee. In the digital area it is not uncommon, and often very rewarding, to implement reverse mentoring where a junior person provides guidance to a more senior one in the use of new equipment, software and social media.

A way to optimize the preparation, the installation and the adaptation. Working in a new envionment : taking advantage of the knowhow and support from someone with experience in a similar field of expertise or professional challenges.
