This document summarizes organophosphorus insecticides and nerve gas agents poisoning. It discusses the mechanisms, clinical manifestations and management of organophosphorus poisoning, which can cause acute cholinergic crisis, intermediate syndrome and organophosphate-induced delayed polyneuropathy. Treatment involves decontamination, atropine to block muscarinic effects, oximes like pralidoxime to reactivate acetylcholinesterase, and ventilatory support for respiratory failure and intermediate syndrome.
