Logical Link Control (LLC) provides single data link
control protocol for all IEEE LANs while Media Access
Control (MAC) provides different protocols for different
LANs.

MAC contains synchronization, flag, flow and error
control specifications necessary to move information from
one place to another and the physical address of the next
station to reduce and route a packet.
