Ok So Semantic is a big word for two things: Either the “sense” of things are explicit (cf: dictionary, etc etc) Either it is implicit (apple -> yummy)
There are multiple technologies that support both explicit and implicit semantics: Usual Suspect in RDF Good old “academic” approach in implicit -> Often perceived as incompatible or even competing for the same pot of gold, both approach are more complementary. -> But MOST important today: we don’t care about all those techs. Let the semantic geeks play with it – YOUR goal is simply to take advantage of what it serves without any hassle!
In a nutshell semantics are used for 2 things: Lift (enhancement of content thru means of external processing) Find (Content accessibility including, but not restricted-to search) -> The goal today is to provide a mean for CMS to best leverage all available tools in semantic without the hassle of the tech: TO USE
As a Result, OUR goal is to provide high level interoperability with your CMS, your content, your application business. We strive to make semantic a pleasure! It’s there, readily available on SaaS It does vodoo things that you do not have to take care of And it’s even already integreated with your favorite CMS!
