3. Conflicts are generally defined as
relational disputes between two or more
parties in which those involved perceive a
threat to their interests coming from those
on the other side of the disagreement.
While this can describe a variety of conflict,
it does not explain the full range of
possibilities with this term.

- These happen because of something the participants
can’t control.
Values conflicts
- These happen when people have a fundamental
disagreement on fundamental values.
Resources conflicts
- This is when two people fight because they both want
something, but there aren’t enough resources for both
of them to satisfy their desires.

- consist of students who hack into other students’ social
network sites. It may also consist of posting negative
information on their own social networking sites about others.
Gossip
- If a teenager spreads gossip about another adolescent, this
can cause hurt feelings, self-esteem issues and even violence.

- Many teenagers take out their anger on others through
shoving, punching and hitting.
Parent-child conflict
- As children become more independent, conflict arises with
parents.
