1) slope - intercept form y = mx + b
2) Standard Form ax + by + c = 0
3) neither of the above

3. Slope - Intercept Form
is the most useful because it gives the
most information in a simple manner
y = mx + b
m = slope
b = y intercept

4. Standard Form is written as a
polynomial, everything on one side of
the equation, no fractions, and x
positive.

5. Convert y = 4x + 5 to standard form
4x - y + 5 = 0

6. Convert y = -4/5x + 5 to standard
form
4/5x + y - 5 = 0
4x + 5y -25 = 0

7. Find the equation of a line in standard form
that passes through the following points
(1,2) and (-4,5).
