Etowah High School Belief Statements
1. We believe that all members of the Etowah community are responsible for the intellectual and social
   development of our students.

2. We believe that all students can learn regardless of different learning styles and abilities.

3. We believe in working with all students to identify each student’s needs and capacity for learning.

4. We believe that regardless of differences in abilities, all students should recognize learning as a life-long
endeavor and should continue their education in an ever-changing world.

5. We believe that students should come to understand that individual differences, strengths, and
weaknesses, help to make us both unique and important.

6. We believe that both student performance and teacher performance are crucial components of academic
growth and that we must continue to develop both.

7. We believe that we must recognize an ever-increasing student population and must continue to use our
resources and facilities wisely and efficiently to meet student needs.

8. We believe that we must continue to develop methods of instruction that maximize opportunities for
   learning.

9. We believe that character development is a critical component in the development of responsible citizens.

10. We believe that all members of the Etowah community are responsible for providing a safe environment
    for all students and teachers.
