A scenic drive through the green countryside up to the top of Poás
Volcano, one of the widest accessible volcanic craters in the world.
Stand on the edge and look down into the bubbling blue cauldron.
Currently Poás has very active fumaroles in the inner part of the
crater.
The second crater, Botos, is a crystal
clear rain-fed lake surrounded by
highland jungleand reached by a walk
of about ½ mile through a unique
dwarf
cloud forest.

B. La Paz Waterfall Garden
La Paz Waterfall Garden is a private cloud forest reserve located on
the slopes of the Poás Volcano National Park at 5.000 feet.
This place offer 2.17 miles of walking trails, butterfly observatory,
hummingbird garden, serpentarium, frogs among others.
