Coffee Hour is one of the most valuable student programs at the University of Oregon. It is also one of the least well known. This presentation was created to raise awareness for coffee hour.

- 12. It’s understandable if you don’t know many international students
- 13. After all, you might not have much in common with them
- 14. They might speak a different language
- 15. They might have different friends
- 16. They might have different political views
- 17. But they have at least 1 thing in common with you:
- 18. They’re students at the University of Oregon
- 20. … just like you!
- 21. They want to know things about…

- 25. Things that you are an expert in!
- 26. But they might be to nervous to ask you directly
- 27. So how do you get to know international students?
- 28. Every Friday, you have an opportunity to interact with…
- 29. A crowd of international students
- 30. Every Friday From 4 to 6 p.m.
- 31. In the Mills International Center
- 32. (in the EMU, above the post office)
- 33. You can sit down on one of the cozy couches…
- 34. … with a free cup of coffee…
- 35. … and have a conversation with a student…
- 36. … that you could only normally have in China… 中国
- 37. … or Saudi Arabia…
- 38. … or anywhere outside the US!
- 39. So please, stop by coffee hour.
- 40. And next time You see an international Student in your class…
- 41. Say, “Hi.”
